I can’t believe I haven’t been swimming since April 14th. I moved again and now I’m miles from the swimming pool where I am a member… but today I cycled there, swam and cycled back…a good workout. It was great to swim today! I love swimming!

Everything was swum in sets of 300, 3 x 100 - free, back breast

I started swimming in May, 1987 and on that first day could swim only 1/2 a lap of sidestroke, then clung to the side of the pool, panting. After 7 months of swimming every day, I was a fully qualified lifeguard, swimming instructor. I went on to swim competitively for 17 years, and for three years competed in Olympic distance triathlons. I stopped competing when I left Canada in 2002. This swim log is for my old swimming buddies and any other swimmers passing by. I make up the workouts when I get in the water. Swimming is great! I love swimming and have written a collection of POETRY about it, and made a performance art piece based on that poetry as well as an art video.
