Arts Extravaganza
The Budapest Autumn Arts Festival starts today and that’s 9 days of avante garde art. I wrote about it for Diplomacy and Trade magazine which is due out this week. (Sorry no up to date weblinks for that publication.)
I have tickets for these events:
October 14: An Index of Metals, MaFilm 7:30 pm, (Rona ut. 174, 1145 Bp)
October 15: Kimmo Pohjoneo, a38 concert boat 8:00 pm
October 16: Indiai Est, Trafo 8:00pm
October 17: Plastic Septet, Millenaris 8:00pm
October 18: I think I will stay home - maybe ![]()
October 19: Maybe - Dance films, Örökmozgó Film Museum 8:00 pm (Erzsébet kt. 39, 1o73 Bp.) but I have a table reserved for 6 people at the Merlin theater for the English improv Scabaret - hmmmm - can I do both?
October 20: Lantos Zoltan Mirrorworld, Columbus Jazz Boat 8:00pm
October 21: 9:30 Collective, Momentary fame, a38 concert boat (my voice is used in the English version on the CD recording of this show.) 8:00pm
October 22: I hope to get to a performance of Gado Gabor’s ‘Tarsulata’ at Artus studio.
October 23: Wroklawski Theater (Poland) Sarah Kane’s play at Millenaris 7:00pm
I will try to post more details and let you know how these various things are, meanwhile you can read about everything on the BOF website. I’ve also written about Zoltan Lantos here (do a search) and a link to an article I wrote about him is on my non-fiction links page. (01 November, 2004, 21 String Violin Opens …) Zoltan’s violin has inspired me to write some very unusual nature poetry.
I am also going to try to get out to see all the sculptures in public squares - and that is probably a good bicycle activity to do with a cycling friend.
I am also hoping to do some of the design bus tours, especially the tour of the cafes.
These are free.
